Five things you need to know ahead of the Easter weekend

THE long weekend, and school holidays, are only hours away.

Some are prepared for the onslaught of "I want chocolate", "I want hot cross buns", "I'm bored"; while others are still typing away at their computers just trying to get through  the work day.

The good news is, if you haven't done your grocery shopping yet, today is late night shopping. 

And, the seafood markets are open all weekend: Fresh fish the go-to this Easter, particularly mud crabs

As for the "I want chocolate" comments, a CQUniversity lecturer has this advice for parents: Resisting Easter treats could lead to kids pre-occupation
