Fluoride arrives this afternoon

COUNCIL is set to start pumping fluoride into Rockhampton’s water supply later this afternoon.

The Morning Bulletin understands council is making final checks with an announcement expected later once everything is up and running.

Council had until the end of December to introduce fluoride to the water supply at Rockhampton, Gracemere and The Caves if it’s to meet Queensland Government requirements.

A missing part meant it had to delay last Friday’s initial start-up date.
