Former Labor MP Billy Gordon is refusing to quit politics

EMBATTLED Member for Cook Billy Gordon has broken his silence on his parliamentary future, saying he has no intention of quitting politics in the short term.

In an interview with the Western Cape Bulletin, the ousted Labor Party member has said he denies allegations of violence against his former partners and would not resign from parliament.

MORE POLITICS:

Mr Gordon told the newspaper he would co-operate fully with the police investigation and take time to consider his future.

"I'm not going to make a decision straight away. I need to be around my family and supporters," the paper quoted him as saying.

"Once I have had a chance to think it through, I will make a decision. I am not going to be denied natural justice."
