Forum to clarify business procedures after de-amalgamation

ROCKHAMPTON Regional Council will hold a forum in an effort to ensure existing and potential investors aren't frightened off by de-amalgamation.

The supplier information forum, to be held on November 27, will explain the nuts and bolts regarding Livingstone's split and how to do business in the future.

Councillor Neil Fisher, the chair of the Business Enterprise Committee, said there would be changes to supply arrangements.

"It is important that suppliers ensure that the supply of goods and services for Livingstone Shire Council and Rockhampton Regional Council are on separate invoices from January 1, 2014," he said.

"Mixed or incorrect invoices will have to be returned to suppliers, so we want to make sure that all suppliers know exactly what they need to do. This will also be an excellent opportunity for potential suppliers and businesses new to the region."

The forum will be held from 4.30pm at the Walter Reid Cultural Centre.
