Four Aussies injured in landslide
AN AUSTRALIAN woman says it is a miracle she is alive after she was seriously hurt in a rockfall while hiking on a famed Italian tourist trail, Italian media report.
Four Australians - two who were seriously hurt - were among several tourists caught up in the rockfall while on the steep path known as the "Way of Love" in the Cinque Terre coastline in Liguria, north-west Italy, reports said.
The Australian woman, who was identified by reports as Judy Greig, 61, was crushed by rocks after a boulder up to two metres in diameter fell on to the path at the Cinque Terre (Five Lands) national park.
Ms Greig was reported to have a serious head injury and other wounds, Italian news agency ANSA reported.
Rescuers said she told them: "I'm alive by a miracle ... it was a nightmare."
