Free-to-air channels to alter some frequencies

A FEW free-to-air channels have changed frequencies in Dysart and Blackwater.

These moves will free up the broadcasting spectrum so it can be used for new services such as mobile broadband.

Once the channels have moved, viewers will need to retune their digital TV, set-top box or digital TV recorder to get them back.

This retune only affects viewers receiving their television signal from the TV towers located at Dysart and Cutlers Hill.

Dysart and Blackwater viewers will have had to retune their TVs as of yesterday.

Capella and Tieri will need to retune after 3:30pm on August 26; Miriam Vale and Bororen on August 27; Clermont viewers on September 1 and viewers in Emerald will need to retune their TV on October 16.

For more information call the Digital Ready Information Line on 1800 20 10 13 or for steps on how to retune visit http://retune.digitalready.gov.au/.
