Freight depot meeting

10.30am: OPPONENTS of a proposal to expand the road and rail freight depot in Port Curtis will hold an open public meeting this evening at Port Curtis School.

Forms to register objections to the plan for 24-hour operation of the Toll Holding depot will be available. Organiser Ian Whitehead said January’s floods, which brought more than 1m of fast-flowing water across the site, showed the folly of allowing the depot to remain operating. Tonight’s meeting is due to start at 7.15pm.
