THE Frenchville Pioneers ran riot at Jardine Park on Saturday, scoring a 71-point win over Uni in CQ rugby union.
Coach Lance Robb said his players "just put it together" and played as a team.
"We have a lot of speed out back and the forwards were punching it up and the backs were finishing it off," he said.
"Our defence was really good and has been one of the keys to our game. We wait for them to make the mistake and capitalise on it."
Despite the huge win, Robb said there were still a few aspects of Frenchville's game that needed some work.
Discipline is one, with the coach saying his players gave away too many penalties on Saturday.
"I'm happy with the patterns that we're playing and the decisions we're making out there but some of the finer things we are just trying to clean up," he said.
Robb said vice-captain and halfback Lachlan Powell had a massive game, presenting the team with plenty of width.
Frenchville next meet Dawson Valley, who played a hard-fought 15-12 win over Cap Coast at the weekend.
Robb expects a tough contest.
"They're a good side and we're playing them out there, which will be really hard for us," he said.
"We will go into the game in much the same way. We will try to take it up in the forwards and let our backline do the rest."
