THE doors will fly open again this morning at Subway with a fresh new look after being closed for renovations.

The North Rockhampton store, on Blanchard St, has splashes of green and timber to give it a trendy look.

Franchisee Ashley Knight said the re-model looked great and was eager for customers to come and check it out.

The store closed for two weeks for renovations, which wasn't the best timing, as it caused some confusion as the Gracemere and East St Subway store completely closed down recently.

Ashley said he wanted customers to know his store is back open for business after their re-model, which even saw the ceiling lifted.

Ashley has been working for Subway for 10 years, and has been a franchisee for two years.

He said making subs has always been fun, but it's his customers that make his job great.

"It comes down to the customers, (and I enjoy) training the staff and energising the team," Ashley said.

"Being hands-on and leading by example to ensure we give great customer service.

"And great food; I eat it every day."

The Subway, located near Stockland Rockhampton, is back open for business from today.

As for the stores that have closed recently, it's believed Subway is hoping to re-open them in the near future.
