Friday cattle sale cancelled

FRIDAY'S weekly cattle sale at the Central Queensland Livestock Exchange in Gracemere has been cancelled.

This follows the cancellation of other major sales this week, including Roma, Emerald, Blackall, and Gympie.

Landmark agent Julian Laver today said the sale had been cancelled due to insufficient numbers as a result of recent weather conditions.

"What it boils down to is the roads are too wet and people can't travel, therefore we have a lack of numbers," he said.

Depending on the weather, he hoped next week's sale would be able to go ahead.
