Fuming truck driver delivers on time after Quay St hold-up

A SEMI-TRAILER truck driver was fuming after things took a wrong turn this afternoon when he was given directions to deliver a load of goods in Rockhampton's Quay Lane.

A Quay Lane business, near the Rockhampton CBD rotunda in Denham St, gave the truck driver directions to travel along Quay St and then to turn into Denham St near the south Rockhampton Westpac Bank.

When the driver attempted to turn into Denham St he realised that bollards at the Quay-Denham Sts intersection were in the way.

The driver was forced to reverse his truck back into Quay St and take the road to Fitzroy Street, just before the old bridge, to access the business that way.

Despite the hold-up, the driver delivered the goods and went on his way.
