Funeral for young Cooran mum after road tragedy

BRUCE Hwy crash victim Kirsty Mooney will be laid to rest in Noosaville today.

A service takes place 2pm at the Noosa Christian Outreach Centre on the corner of Eumundi Noosa and Beckmans Rds.

The Cooran mother-of-two was killed on Friday, June 27 near the Gold Nugget truck stop south of Gympie.

Kirsty, 27, was on her way home from work at Pacific Gympie when tragedy struck.

The mother was struck from behind by a truck and pushed into a tree off the side of the road.

The public is invited to attend the service.
