CCTV catches gaming attendant stealing at Rockhampton hotel

JULIE May Alexander faced Rockhampton Magistrates Court on Wednesday after she was caught stealing from Raffles Hotel.

The court heard that in April the 61-year-old was a gaming attendant at the hotel and was responsible for paying out cash rewards to winners and to complete a register of the wins.

A discrepancy in the register found $146 was missing. Alexander was caught taking the money on CCTV.

She was fined $600 and ordered to pay restitution of $146 to Raffles Hotel.
