Gatecrasher allegedly punched guest

HE may look young, but not young enough to be at a high school graduation party.

Duane Warcon, 20, was yesterday arrested by Rockhampton Police for allegedly gate-crashing a break-up party for The Cathedral College students last Saturday and punching a guest in the face.

Detective Dane Sheraton said Warcon arrived at the Bajool party, held at the recreation grounds on Bobs Creek Rd, at 2am as the party was breaking up.

Det Sheraton said an 18-year-old helping out at the party was taken to Rockhampton Hospital with facial injuries and swelling after Warcon punched him.

Warcon was yesterday charged with assault occasioning bodily harm.

He will appear in Rockhampton Magistrates Court today.
