Get feet tapping for stars' visit

ROCKHAMPTON'S budding dancers will have the opportunity to dance with the stars later this month - literally.

Experienced performers Mark Hodge, who you may have seen on Dancing with the Stars series 1 and 2, and Csaba Buday will travel to Rockhampton later this month to help the Central Queensland Dancers Company (CQDC) with their Summer Series Workshops.

Hodge will hold the Dance 2 Emote Workshops being held on January 18 and 19 and Buday will hold a lecture and a question and answer session for dance students and parents on January 20.

Both will be held at the Michael Robertson School of Dance and Musical Theatre in Rockhampton.

The dance genres being offered at the workshops are classical repertoire, classical, musical theatre, tap, contemporary and an infusion of jazz, hip-hop, rap and funk.

The CQDC will hold a showcase performance at the Walter Reid Theatre on January 21 where students of the workshops will perform what they have learnt.

For more information on classes and costs visit www.cqdc.org.
