Get involved in the world's biggest Instameet on Saturday

ON Saturday, Tourism and Events Queensland is hosting what they hope will be the 'Biggest Instameet in the World' and Queenslanders are being encouraged to get involved.

Participating is easy, all you have to do is grab your mobile phone, log into Instagram, find a location near you and then register.

An Instameet is a place and time where people get together on Instagram to take and share photos and over 80 Instameet locations across Queensland have been registered for Saturday.

To find a location near you see the Instameet locations on the Queensland Holidays website

If you don't want to go to one of the 80 locations and/or register, you can still be involved by sharing your photos of Queensland with the hashtag #thisisqueensland.

In the weeks leading up to the Instameet, APN ARM launched a new Instagram account called @onelocaltoanother and asked our readers to share their photos of Queensland and New South Wales with us using the hashtags #thisisqueensland and #thisisnsw and tagging @onelocaltoanother in their pics.

We have received some amazing photos, some of which were published in the newspaper in that area.

And while the world's biggest Instameet officially ends on Saturday, sharing our photos from around Queensland and New South Wales doesn't.

Follow us on Instagram and keep sharing your photos with us!
