Get that spring back in your step
IT'S TIME to step out of our winter hibernation and get that spring in our step with summer on its way.
As the season's change more people are taking a look at their own lives to see what changes they can make physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
Holistic Health on Denham owner Chris Galinovic says that spring is all about new beginnings, change and coming out of the long winter days.
"We move with the seasons and spring is about joy and happiness," the Rockhampton woman said.
There are plenty of changes that Rockhampton residents are taking on this season, with some people focusing on fitness and others looking to find a stress release.
Chris, a kinesiologist, says it's all about finding what works for you.
"Kinesiology works with your energy symptoms. It's about finding where there are energy blockages," Chris said.
But everyone is different, and Chris said for some people a stress release could be as easy as kicking a soccer ball with your kids.
Her advice to get motivated this spring and to make a change to yourselves is simple - "just do it".
"Change what you're not doing because if you do the same thing, then you stay the same," she said.
Chris said anything from starting a new project, to getting a massage or taking up yoga could be the change you needed to get that spring back in your step.
"Winter seems to put everything on hold, but it gives you the chance to re-energise for spring," Chris said.
"Now's the time to look get active and look after all aspects of your health."
