POLL: What is your Christmas gift shopping budget this year?

BERNEICE Leek has a head start on her Christmas shopping this year.

And with 14 family members to buy for, it's no wonder she's so organised.

The Gladstone-based grandmother began her shopping yesterday with a budget of about $500.

Berneice said she had quite a large family and had a limit on what she spent on each person.

"I have to buy quite a few presents," she said. "All together I have nine grandchildren and five children to buy for."

Berneice, who already had a trolley full of goodies, said she had only just started her shopping.

"This year I'm trying to spend about $25 on the grandchildren and $50 on my children," she said.

"The grandkids range in age from 17 all the way down to six so it's quite a challenge to buy for such a large age range."

Berneice travels from Gladstone to Rockhampton shopping centres every year around Christmas time to make sure she has everything ready for the festive season.
