Glitterati dig deep

HAYLEY Finter, Jenny Shillington, Lea Swaffield and Courtney Love raised $11,000 for the Rockhampton Regional Council Relay for Life Team at their fundraising event, the Coastal Ladies Night, at Yeppoon Town Hall on February 25.

Marilyn Monroe was MC and the hall was decorated in a Hollywood theme.

Local women dressed to impress.

"It was wonderful to see attendees take the time to dress to theme and the atmosphere in Rodeo Drive was electric," the team said.

Council staff strutted their stuff down the red carpet, modelling fashions by seven coastal fashion houses, including resort wear and bridal wear.

The night started vigorously with VIP tables raising close to $1000.

The team would like to thank the staff at the Coffee Club Anzac Parade, Sea Breeze Service Station, Hair TM and the Netball Girls and Wayne and Cath at Wavelengths.

The organisers would also like to thank all those who donated on the night and supported this event.

The girls are already planning a bigger and better event for 2013.
