Gold Coast college theatre goes up in flames

THE damage bill from a fire at a Lutheran college on the Gold Coast could run into millions of dollars.

St Andrews Lutheran College's theatre was extensively damaged in a fire that started about 11pm at the the Tallebudgera college.

Emergency services founded the school on Tallebudgera Creek Road well alight when they arrived.

Seven News reported the damage bill could run into the millions.

Extensive damage has occurred to the building and a crime scene has been established as the fire is being treated as suspicious, police said.

Police urge anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area, or who may have any other information that could assist in their investigations to contact Crime Stoppers.
