Gracemere's car wash

GRACEMERE'S first car wash is a pet project for the Rodda family.

Not only will residents be able to soap up their cars without driving into Rockhampton, but they can soap up their pooches, too.

And now, after two years in the making, Brent, Jenny, Brooke, Kristy, Sasha and Daniel Rodda are pleased to say Gracemere Car and Dog Wash is open for business.

Brent first applied to Rockhampton Regional Council for approval two years ago and he began construction in May this year.

And today he is relieved to say all the work is done and he's ready to start making some money back.

“We hope Gracemere will take to it - there is no need to go in town now,” Jenny said.

“A few people have said to me they have been waiting for it.

“We wanted to create a nice atmosphere here.”

Gracemere Car and Dog Wash have three manual carwash bays, an automatic carwash, high power vacuums and carpet shampoo and deodoriser facilities.

There is also a special motorcycle feature which allows riders to blow dry their bikes.
