Grandma appears in on four charges of attempted murder

A MORAYFIELD grandmother, accused of attempting to murder two of her grandchildren, has had her matter mentioned briefly in court.

The woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged with four counts of attempted murder in December last year after a lengthy police investigation.

Her matter was mentioned briefly yesterday in the Caboolture Magistrates Court where it was adjourned until April 10.

The woman was granted bail last month albeit under strict conditions including that she report to police daily and to not contact children or witnesses related to the case.

The woman faces three counts of attempted murder against one boy, attempting to kill the boy's brother, attempted arson and interfering with the corpse of an infant.

The charges cover a 14-month period between July 29, 2013 and September 27 last year.

It is understood the woman intends to plead not guilty to all the charges.
