Grass fire near Raglan

FIREFIGHTERS are on scene of a grass fire in the Raglan area.  

The fire started yesterday morning around 1pm at Port Alma Lane and Hourigan Creek Rd.  

The fire picked up today around 11am due to weather conditions.  

Crews are conducting back burning to protect homes and buildings nearby; a smoke hazard is affecting the area as well.

Motorists on the Bruce Hwy are asked to drive to conditions and residents are advised to keep windows and doors closed.
