Gwen officiates at nude service on GKI
THE music started to play and the bride started to make her way down the aisle, wearing nothing but a g-string and a veil.
It was about four years ago when Gwen experienced her strangest wedding yet; a nude wedding on Great Keppel Island.
Gwen said she had experienced some different weddings before but that she'd never forget this particular ceremony.
"The couple and I had communicated over the internet in the lead-up to the wedding," she said.
"The bride wanted to be married on GKI so we planned the day and I got on the ferry over to the island. I met the bride over there and she told me that she had changed the location of the wedding to another bit on the island, which was fine.
"We walked to this bit of the island where there were lots of trees and then she told me that it was going to be a nude wedding. The bride walked down the aisle in a g-string and a veil, the groom came out and had a kilt on with an old t-shirt.
"They had eight guests at the wedding and the girls all just wore sarongs.
"It was the strangest wedding I've been to but it's what they wanted to do on their day so I read my piece and completed the service for them."
