Hanson refuses to consider defeat for Steve in Buderim

ONE Nation matriarch Pauline Hanson has shut down claims her state leader and Member for Buderim Steve Dickson is the "underdog".

On Saturday Senator Hanson continued her tour of regional Queensland by joining Mr Dickson at the Buderim Remembrance Day ceremony.

While speaking to media after the ceremony, she refused to name a replacement leader for the party should Mr Dickson lose his Buderim seat.

"I've been out and around this electorate and I know Steve Dickson is going to win and I'm positive about that," she said.

Meanwhile, Mr Dickson declared Queensland primary school students were being taught how to masturbate and use strap-on dildos in schools, a comment that was later slammed by premier Annastacia Palaszczuk.

The pair were joined by a group of supporters including Mr Dickson's son and division 6 councillor Christian Dickson.

Mr Dickson said he's "delighted" with the major infrastructure priorities his party is delivering for the Coast.

"There is an urgent need for the Mooloolah River Interchange, the North Coast Rail duplication between Beerburrum and Nambour, the Sunshine Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre," he said.

One Nation is committing more than $1 billion to the projects, Mr Dickson says are "vital to the future development for the Coast".

Mr Dickson said these projects would be moved along swiftly should One Nation hold the balance of power after the state election.

"Since January, I have made a strong stand for the Sunshine Coast to get its proper share of funding," he said.

"One Nation has also supported the Sunshine Coast Submarine Cable Project which will be of enormous benefit to the Coast."
