Have You Been Paying Attention: How Celia stole the show

IT'S not easy to out-joke Sam Pang and Marty Sheargold on Have You Been Paying Attention? but last night Celia Pacquola managed to do it.

After the episode aired, viewers flooded Twitter with compliments for the comedian for her performance on the show, with one person even labelling Pacquola a "national treasure".

The 34-year-old performer was joined on last night's panel by Ed Kavalee, Urzila Carlson, Marty Sheargold and Sam Pang.

But Pacquola upstaged the other panellists during the episode with her interaction with guest quiz master, Supercross champion Justin Brayton, proving to be a hit with viewers.

The handsome sportsman laughed nervously as Pacquola tried to flirt with him on the Channel 10 quiz show.

"Celia thinks she's on a Tinder date," Sam Pang commented.

"It's not a Tinder date," Pacquola responded. "He's turned up."

Brayton then told Pacquola, "my wife is in the back", and without missing a beat the self-deprecating comedian replied: "now it's like a Tinder date!"

Another of Pacquola's witty responses came when quiz master Tom Gleisner asked what the name of Kevin Rudd's memoir is?

"Good Ruddance?" Pacquola guessed.

The Rosehaven star also had a jab at fellow panellist Ed Kavalee when Gleisner asked a question about what Kavalee had said on Brisbane radio last week that shocked some listeners.

"Did he say no to an ad?" Pacquola said, making reference to the number of Toyota commercials Kavalee has appeared in.

And in a superb bit of wordplay, when Gleisner asked why Domino's customers were unhappy last week, Pacquola answered, "Their crusts were stuffed!"

Well played Celia, well played.
