Helicopter service gets top knotch equipment for kids

THE RACQ Capricorn Rescue Service has acquired a state of the art child rescue capsule able to attach to a winch cable hook, and accompanied by a rescue crewman.

Senior air crewman Nathan Triffett said the equipment "will be an asset to our operations especially during times of flood".

"The CRC can be used both overwater and overland. It has inbuilt floats for the water environment and can handle a baby through to a small child," Mr Triffett said.
