High-octane dance performance on stage at Pilbeam next week

AN EXUBERANT, high-octane fusion of dance, language, sound and light will come to life as Sydney Dance Company's 2 One Another performance, will be staged at the Pilbeam Theatre next week.

2 One Another is an award-winning work created by Sydney Dance Company artistic director Rafael Bonachela.

The production weaves a sensual study of human interaction - charting the myriad actions and reactions, gestures and relationships, connections and disconnections that make up a life.

Set against a pulsing, pixelated backdrop, the piece thrums with a driving, baroque-meets- electronica soundtrack, penned by Nick Wales.

Shot through with the exquisite poetry fragments of Samuel Webster, 2 One Another is dance at its most engaging and multi-dimensional.

Sydney Dance Company dancer Thomas Bradley said he enjoyed performing in regional towns.

"They are just as exciting as international tours," Mr Bradley said.

"The audience is always so incredibly inviting. You feel it on stage, too. It's really important for Sydney Dance Company to branch out into the regions."
