Historic Saleyards Hotel building up for sale
THE Saleyards Hotel building in Rockhampton has gone into receivership and is up for grabs once again.
The historical Rockhampton pub has been in and out of the real estate market for the past two years.
CBRE Hotels were yesterday appointed by receivers PPB Advisory to market the freehold investment interest in the Gladstone Rd property.
The hotel was built in the 1880s but was demolished and rebuilt in the 1930s.
It is believed the sale of the building, which is home to popular Mexican restaurant The Crooked Cactus, will have no effect on the tenant's lease or their business.
Glenn Price and Joel Fisher from CBRE Hotels are marketing the building via an expressions of interest campaign which will close on March 21.
Mr Price said they were expecting strong demand.
The hotel features a single bar with multiple service points, a recently renovated restaurant, a gaming room with 15 Gaming Machine Authorities, a commercial kitchen and manager's accommodation.
In addition, the offering includes six rooms located adjacent to the main hotel providing bedsit-style accommodation and bathroom facilities.
"The hotel is leased on a 14-year term, including options," Mr Price said.
