DASH CAM: A high-speed collision with cattle on the New England Hwy between Toowoomba and Warwick has been captured on dash cam.

The crash occurred on October 30 as the motorist was returning home to Toowoomba from Warwick.

Its shows an oncoming vehicle flashing their high-beams to warn the motorist that cattle are on the road.

However, as is explained in the footage, the flashing lights only distract the driver.

He smashes into one of the beasts at high speed, causing extensive damage to his vehicle.

The motorist claims he was reprimanded by police for failing to give way to livestock.

However, he hits back saying the cattle had ventured on to the highway through an open gate.

The vehicle was a write-off.
