Rockhampton Hospital installs check-in kiosks

NEW electronic kiosks have been installed at Rockhampton Hospital to streamline check-in for patients attending outpatient clinics.

Patients with an outpatient appointment can now simply scan their Medicare card or bar-coded appointment letter on arrival rather than having to queue at the reception counter.

If there are no changes to be made they can sit in the waiting area until their appointment.

Staff can easily track patient progress and the appointment details can now be accurately checked which will enable improvements to the system if and when required.

Check-in stations have also been installed at Community Health in Bolsover St and Sub Acute Chronic Care Rehabilitation at CQUniversity Health Clinic.
