Hot Britt revs it up

FORMER Hobart hottie Britt Gardner has definitely left her mark in the Beef Capital.

She’s only lived in Rockhampton for two weeks and has already sent hearts racing on the catwalk.

On Saturday night the 21-year-old was crowned the winner of Miss SuperGP in the Rockhampton final at Strutters Nightclub.

The bubbly blue-eyed blonde was such a natural when she hit the stage that you would never have guessed it was her first time – or that she was secretly nervous.

It was also the first time Britt’s boyfriend Allen has seen that side of her.

“She looked stunning; I’ve never seen her on stage before,” he said yesterday full of pride.

Britt first put on an energetic performance as a tennis player in the sportswear section.

But she really wowed the crowd when she put on a fantastic swimwear routine to Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend from the Moulin Rouge.

Beginning her performance on a couch, she could have almost rivalled Aussie actress Nicole Kidman.

Britt said her natural stage presence came from years of dance training.

Britt and Allen are excited to make the big move to Rockhampton and make this their home.
It’s been a big shock for them weather-wise though.

“It was snowing when we left Hobart so it’s a big change,” she said.

Britt is yet to land a job, but was working as a pharmacy assistant and studying pharmacy at university in Hobart.

She is looking at beginning a degree in nutrition and dietetics.

Two other new-comers also secured places at the grand final on the weekend – Rockhampton’s Lauren O’Brien placed second and Gladstone’s Ayla Stapleton placed third.

Britt is now off to compete in the national finals at the Gold Coast and will become part of the Miss SuperGP Race Team.

She has also won her own website made by Almost Anything and prizes from Hairmoda, Michael Hill Jeweller and Anthony Vidlers Vfit personal training.

All contestants also took home a gift pack worth $100 from Rophi Retreat.
