And the NRL Houdini award goes to...

HOUDINI AWARD: Many jaws were left hanging after North Queensland pulled off a stunning 36-30 win over Parramatta at Pirtek Stadium on Monday night. The Cowboys were down 30-6 after almost an hour of play, before the comeback kings finally found their mojo through - you guessed it - playmaker Johnathan Thurston. Three of his kicks led to one of the fastest hat-tricks you'll ever see going to Gavin Cooper.

JEERS FOR THAT: Rugby league's richest player Daly Cherry-Evans copped a hard time from Broncos fans every time he touched the ball in Manly's heavy 44-10 loss at Suncorp Stadium last Friday night. That was after he reneged on his contract with the Titans to stay on the northern beaches. But he momentarily silenced the chorus of boos in the 44th minute, breaking through the Brisbane line and kicking for fullback Brett Stewart to score a brilliant try.

BEST JUGGLING ACT: It was the try that got the Bulldogs back into the game against the Dragons to make the score 16-all on Monday, and it was a gem. With defenders taking him over the sideline, Canterbury winger Brett Morris threw a brilliant offload back inside to Tim Lafai. As Lafai fell to the ground he juggled the ball, somehow managed to regather and then just ground the ball on the line.
