How to suc-seed in garden

UNLIKE our cousins further south or overseas we don't need to lock ourselves away over winter.

The mild, fine days, devoid of a scorching summer sun, encourage us outdoors and many of us venture into our gardens.

To encourage readers to make the most of the approaching winter we are helping you add to your gardening armoury.

From April 23 we will give away a packet of herb seeds with every newspaper sold for seven days, with a different herb seed given away each day.

But we won't just give you a packet of seeds and send you on your way.

Each newspaper will publish a special Winter Gardening feature, so you can get the most out of your garden in the cooler months.
