Hundreds turn out to meet supercar driver Craig Lowndes
V8 SUPERCARS great Craig Lowndes and life-long Holden fan Jodie Brady have one thing in common - they both love Holden legend Peter Brock.
Rockhampton motorsport fan Brady took the opportunity to meet Lowndes yesterday at AutoBarn Rockhampton's grand reopening at the Master's complex in North Rockhampton.
Brady and her partner Chris Johnson are the proud owners of a 1975 LX SS Torana, and fell in love with the car after Brock - a former mentor of Lowndes - won the 1975 Bathurst 1000 in a Torana.

"We love Brocky. Ever since Brocky raced in it we've been fans," Brady said of Brock, who was tragically killed during a rally race on September 8, 2006.
"He's my favourite. I watch it (the racing on TV) a bit, but the other half (Johnson) is right into it."
Brady, her son Jye, 14, and five-year-old daughter Paige were among hundreds of people who took the opportunity to meet Lowndes, a five-time Bathurst winner, who is sponsored by AutoBarn.
The present championship leader, Lowndes is chasing his first V8 Supercars championship since 1999.
"I'm feeling great. It's going to be a close finish this year," he said.
"No doubt Jamie (Whincup) will definitely push me hard knowing what he's like."
Grabbing the lead after a win in the opening race at the Gold Coast 600 last weekend, Lowndes will now look to continuing his red-hot form in three races at the Phillip Island 360 on November 22-24 before the final outing of the season, the Sydney 500.
"It'll come down to Sydney, there's no doubt about that," he said.
"It's going to be a really tightly fought out championship."
AutoBarn franchisee Stephen Baker said they couldn't have asked for any one better than Lowndes. "He's the pick of the crowd (the drivers) - he's the people's champion," Baker said.
