I’m not Tay Tay – but I’ll take it

I WAS 19 and in a fish and chip shop when a nine-year-old asked me for an autograph.

I didn't have the child-management skills to deal with the awkwardness appropriately, so my friend kindly stepped in to explain to the little girl that I was not, in fact, Taylor Swift.

It has happened a couple of times since then; people tilt their head to the side, squint a little, and compliment me by telling me I look like the superstar.

I don't see it, but I am a fan; and I am looking forward to seeing the real Taylor perform at Suncorp Stadium tomorrow night.

Today has been a really weird work day...

The concert will be the third last performance in Taylor's 1989 tour, which kicked off in May and has been attended by a massive 1.9 million people so far.

While I lack Ms Swift's infamous girl squad, I will have my mother by my side, so it's almost the same.
