188 drivers a day locked out during wet spell: RACQ

FLUSTERED motorists caught out in Queensland's persistent wet weather are locking themselves out of their vehicles in droves.

RACQ's Joe Fitzgerald said the Club received 1321 calls last week to rescue motorists who locked their keys inside their cars, an average of 188 per day.

"Whether it's locking them in the boot with the groceries, rushing to get kids out of the rain or simply being in too much of a hurry, distracted or unprepared drivers are getting caught out."
