Injured Rocky baby dies in Brisbane hospital
BREAKING, 6pm: Police are investigating the suspicious death of a Rockhampton baby a week after the boy was airlifted to Brisbane in a critical condition.
An 11-week old baby was transported to the Rockhampton Hospital on May 23 with life threatening injuries.
He was transported to the Mater Hospital in Brisbane a short time later.
The infant passed away as a result of his injuries on the morning of May 31.
Members of the Rockhampton CPIU are investigating the incident with assistance from State Crime Operations Command, and are appealing for anyone with any information that may assist to contact Crime Stoppers.
