Inquiry into dog attack on couple

TWO dogs that were allegedly involved in an attack at the Frenchville Sports Club on Friday afternoon are still being held in the pound.

Ian Randle, 75, received minor injuries from the attack which occurred as he and his wife Kathleen crossed the road to the car park about 3.30pm.

A Rockhampton Regional Council spokeswoman said the dogs were a female German Shepherd cross Labrador and a desexed male sharpie cross bull mastiff brindle.

"Council is still investigating the incident, and the dogs will be held until the investigation's complete," the spokeswoman said.

Any witnesses to the attack, orvictims of the attack, are urged to phone the council's customer service centre on 1300 22 55 77 and speak with a community compliance officer.
