Motorway cleared following earlier crash

UPDATE 3PM: The Ipswich Motorway is flowing again, following an earlier crash at Rocklea.

Several people were checked for injuries following the crash on the Motorway at 11.43am.

EARLIER: The Ipswich-bound lanes of the Motorway are closed following a three-vehicle smash at Rocklea this morning.

A truck, utility and another vehicle collided near Boundary Rd on the Ipswich Motorway about 11.43am.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesman says one patient is being treated for lower back pain, while another two people from the truck and one person from the ute are also being assessed for injuries.

Paramedics are still on scene and the west-bound lanes are completely blocked, causing traffic nightmares on the Ipswich Motorway.

Motorists should avoid the area if possible.
