LETTER: Honour for the late Vietnam veteran, Harry Mimi
IT WAS an honour to have the relatives of the late Mr Harry Mimi present at the Veterans' Day Commemoration held at Cockscomb on Thursday, August 18.
Risking one's life on active service in very dangerous places is made that much easier by having a supportive family back home in Australia.
Harry was justifiably proud of his family, proud of their ancient heritage, proud of their contribution to Australia in modern times and proud, too, of all his relatives who had served in our Armed Forces since the outbreak of the First World War.
May younger Australians be inspired by the example of Mr Harry Mimi's family.
