'I've been watching you for months': woman stalks teen

A GROWN woman who spent months tormenting and stalking her teenage neighbour will be allowed to remain living next door.

Between May and October, Gina Rebecca Domburg, 52, subjected her 19-year-old neighbour to a "systematic barrage of anger and abuse" in her Tewantin home.

Domburg yesterday pleaded guilty to single counts of stalking and public nuisance.

The Maroochydore Magistrates Court heard Domburg's stalking behaviour included several instances where she would yell into her neighbour's home that she could "see her tits", that she would rip her breasts and head off and that she was a "filthy, dirty girl" and a "slut".

On one occasion the victim's room was left flooded after, it's believed, Domburg, who has been living in Victoria since her arrest, hosed through her window.

In another chilling verbal attack, Domburg yelled outside the victim's house, "I've been watching you for months, you never change your sheets".

In September, Domburg also committed a public nuisance when she yelled at another neighbour, "you're a f---ing lying bitch and every dog has its day" after tailgating her down the street.

After the police were called, Domburg denied the incident and said there was an issue with her car that was causing it to follow closely behind before going on a tangent about her issues with other people on the street.

In her victim impact statement, the now 20-year-old said she'd saved for five years to afford the home, but was now "scared to walk out the front door".

Domburg's lawyer said in her defence her life had been thrown into "complete turmoil" since her cancer diagnosis in 2006 and her husband's death in 2012 and her victim had been known to have loud parties with attendees illegally parking on the street.

Magistrate Haydn Stjernqvist sentenced Domburg to two years' probation and ordered her not come within 20m of her victim.
