Jezabels win top music prize

SYDNEY band the Jezabels won the $30,000 Australian Music Prize yesterday.

Their album Prisoner was described as elegant and flush with creative and dramatic songwriting at the award, Australia's richest in contemporary music.

The alternative-leaning four-piece beat nine finalists including Boy & Bear, Gurrumul Yunupingu and Jack Ladder.
