TORBANLEA mum Joelle Kelly reckons her daughter won a few hearts during her visit to Melbourne, where she took part in a Bonds Baby photo shoot.

Josee Hope, who has Down syndrome, was selected as a People's Choice winner in the 2015 Bonds Baby Search and she received a $300 photo shoot with flights, accommodation and all transfers paid for both her and Joelle.

Joelle said the two of them had a ball and they got to have a sneak peek at the photos taken on the day, which might be used for Bonds promotions in the future.

She said it would be wonderful if her daughter was included in advertising for the products because it would encourage other Australian retailers to include people of all abilities in their advertising media.

Joelle said she had some concerns about how Josee would react on the day, "but she was great".

"She walked in like she owned the place, smiling and waving hi," she said.

Josee played with some of the other children who were also there to have a photo shoot until it was finally time to be in front of the cameras.

Joelle said Josee wasn't too thrilled by the sound of the camera or the sight of the flashlights, but when the organisers started blowing bubbles and playing the Frozen soundtrack, she soon came around.

"I think she may have left a footprint on some people's hearts that day," she said.
