Josh overwhelmed by public support

JOSH Moore is overwhelmed by the public support he has received from Big Brother fans.

The 29-year-old left the Big Brother House on Thursday after receiving the tragic news of the sudden death of his older brother Toby.

"It has been quite overwhelming but absolutely fantastic," he said.

"I never anticipated such a response. Everyone has been wonderful."

Moore said it was important to thank viewers and the cast and crew of the reality show. He joined host Sonia Kruger on last night's live farwell show.

"It was just a really good opportunity to come back and finish my time in the house properly and come back and do the farewell sort of thing," he said.

"I wanted to say goodbye and thank you to everybody for their support."

During his time on the show, the muso had never been nominated for eviction, something he puts down to his laid-back nature.

"The way I was in the house is exactly how I am in real life. I like to be liked. I try and get along with people," he said.

He maintained his sanity in the confines of the house thanks to his best mate Michael, and his daily ritual.

"I was all about finding your own space and time, funnily enough I found that in the fire making duty," he said.

"I let people know that was my time and if you see me sitting by the fire just off with the fairies then don't come and sit down next to me.

"It took a while for people to catch on to one another's little quirks."

Moore has given this week's nomination super power to Michael, whom he tips to win the show.

"He's well liked within the house and outside the house, so there's definitely a good combo there," he said.

"It's going to get different in the next few weeks. They're going to have to be nominating for strategy for here on in.

"Because he is such a likeable person it's going to be tougher for them to justify it (nominating Michael for eviction) to themselves."

On tonight's live show, six of the eight housemates will be nominated for eviction.
