Driving scavenger hunt across the Coast for a good cause

NEXT MONTH will see a number of drivers compete in a scavenger hunt across the Capricorn Coast.

And it's all to raise money for the Jason Rich Foundation.

Capricorn Coast man Jason Rich tragically passed away in a car accident in December 2009.

The Jason Rich Foundation was established by Jason's parents in 2011 in an aim to fund one million students through a defensive driving course by 2070 and lessen the number of lives lost on the roads.

The Jason Rich Foundation Car Rally will take place on July 18 at Yeppoon following the success of last year's rally event.

One organiser of the event Leanne Brooks said the rally was a fun way to remind people of safe driving.

"We had 21 cars last year and raised $800," she said.

"All the cars will meet at a starting point and will go on a scavenger hunt around Yeppoon, Byfield and Emu Park to help out such a great cause."
