Justin Bieber hurt in New York
JUSTIN Bieber has been hurt after a man jumped over a barrier at him in New York.
The Baby singer was signing autographs for fans on Thursday afternoon when the man vaulted the barricade, knocking him to the ground.
Justin's security team quickly tackled the man – believed to be around 40 – who is then said to have been handed to police.
Justin was meeting his fans outside of Macy's department store, where he is launching his new fragrance. His injuries were said to be "minor" by local news teams.
An eyewitness described the incident to okmagazine.com, saying: "When he was grabbed, his security grabbed the person.
"Bieber came inside looking very shaken up and holding his arm.
"While inside, he was comforted by his dad and his security guard Kenny," "Scooter Braun, his manager, was also on the scene."
Justin, 17, was so shaken up that "he went to be with his camp and out of the mayhem."
No motive is known for the man jumping over the barricade, but there are conflicting reports – while some websites have referred to him as a "fan", gossip site TMZ has stated he was an undercover officer who was trying to help the star after the crowd became unruly.
The site also reported that the situation was quickly resolved and Justin returned to sign autographs.
