Kathi's $1m lucky draw

ROCKHAMPTON'S Kathi Perry has a one-in-a-hundred chance of becoming a millionaire.

Kathi is the winner of APN's Chance to Win a Million competition which attracted more than 20,000 entries over six weeks and was run across all the regional papers in the group, including The Morning Bulletin.

Tomorrow at noon, Kathi will pick one card from 100 – only one card carries the major $1 million prize.

But if she doesn't pull out the winning envelope, she will take home a $5000 consolation anyway.

“It's the first competition I've ever entered, so when I got the call I was shaking,” Kathi said.

Kathi and her best friend, Liz, are jet-setting to Ireland in August for a five-week holiday.

“The money could come in handy,” she said.

If Kathi was lucky enough to win the million dollars, she said house renovations would be first on the list, followed by a holiday with her husband and she would invest the rest.

“I've never been further than Norfolk Island,” Kathi said.

In addition to the major prize there were 14 digital cameras as online bonus prizes.

Kathi doesn't consider herself lucky, but after being chosen from 20,000 entries, she's hoping for a million dollar win tomorrow.
