Keppel MP Lauga calls on support for marriage equality
Federal Opposition Leader Bill Shorten and Deputy Opposition Leader Tanya Plibersek have announced they will be moving a Private Member's Bill for marriage equality in the House of Representatives on Monday which will finally bring about marriage equality in Australia.
It's time for our laws to reflect the values of modern Australia and to include everyone as equals. I always have and always will support marriage equality.
Do you support same sex marriage in Australia?

I am calling on Michelle Landry MP, Federal Member for Capricornia, to support this bill.

All MPs should have a free vote on this matter.
Let's make marriage equality a reality.
I urge everybody to email Michelle Landry MP calling on her to support this bill (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Here is the email I just sent, feel free to copy and paste it to your local member.
Dear Ms Landry,
I urge you to support the Private Member's Bill introduced by Bill Shorten calling for changes to the marriage act to allow for same sex couples to have the same rights as others.
I urge you to support this bill. It is disgraceful that Government sanctioned discrimination exists in any modern society and this bill will address this issue.
Brittany Lauga MP
State Member for Keppel
