Great Keppel Island rally rescheduled for June 28

COMMUNITY advocate Anne Margaret O'Connor has changed the date of her GKI rally to June 28, on Yeppoon Foreshore at 10.30am.

The orginal rally, aimed to give community members a chance to discuss a different perspective for Great Keppel Island, was scheduled for this weekend but due to special guest speakers being unavailable, has now been pushed back to June 28.

Ms O'Connor said the objective of the rally is to allow the community to have a discussion and achieve an informed understanding.

"The rally is about the issues on GKI and because Our Keppel, Our Future had an opportunity to put their perspective to the community. But the general feedback is that there was no opportunity for people who have a different perspective to put their view forward," she said.
